If you can get past the Gestapo receptionists, then good luck to you. Appalling customer service. They are arrogant, rude and obstructive. The doctors are actually good, but trying to get to see a doctor seems to be as rare as hens teeth!
Google is more helpful! Common practice in medicine is to learn as much as possible about the patients symptoms and investigate what could be the cause! Lazy GPs! Painfully slow process in getting results! Lost referrals! No words!!!
I cant say how bad awful dreadful is this surgery. I wouldnt find enough words to describe it. The pharmacist is more useful than the GP! I cant believe the doctor spent 7minutes with my 4 year old son and told him hurry up there are lots of people waiting outside, knowing that he is returning for the 3rd time for the same issue that isnt diagnosed up to this minute.
Awful, rude and unhelpful Reception Manager and Admin assistant. Teresa!! Today was the third time I've spoken to you. First I was eight months pregnant and had, had a bleed I called 111 for advice. Next day I received a voicemail from this surgery asking me to call them, obviously panicked from the events the night before I called to be met with you telling me that after 20+ years of being a patient you could no longer see me at the surgery because I was living in temporary accommodation in Margate (out of your catchment area) After explaining (what you already knew) that I had become homeless and this address was only temporary. I could not join another surgery as I had no fixed address you still refused to help me. You put the phone down on me after I began to cry.Second after the birth of my baby, she was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, we were still in temporary accommodation and still registered with you. I needed to register my daughter to enable me to get her repeat prescription. Something she absolutely needs without fail to keep her from getting severely sick. I asked and practically begged for you to help with this explaining again that we had no fixed address and could not register with another doctor until we moved into our new permanent address in a couple of weeks time. You point blank refused to help and again spoke to me rudely, abruptly and told me to go away and register somewhere else.Luckily after phoning another surgery explaining my situation and that you had refused to help. They were disgusted and got me down there to register her that day. Even though at the time we were not in the catchment area.Today I ring for the second day running trying to get an appointment for my oldest son who unfortunately is still registered with you as he still lives in your catchment area. He is at work and can not call at the required time for an appointment. For reasons I won't go into on the internet this lady again is again rude, abrupt and damn right unhelpful which I've come to expect from her now.The reason I am writing this review today is because after I said goodbye to her as she was putting down the phone I heard her shout "Cow" into it.She is completely unprofessional in her position. The "way the booking system works" changes as and when it suits them. One minute you can only call on the morning to get an appointment, next minute you have to wait a week for a routine one.. they lose test results leading in delays to treatments, they are rude and disrespectful to vulnerable patients and something really needs to be done.This is no reflection on the doctors or nurses at the surgery. My complaint is with the Admin and reception staff who obviously need training in customer care and service. After today's conversation with this woman I will now be taking my complaint further
I have had and am having excellent care from the staff at this medical centre, who I know are all working under great pressure. I feel we should be understanding of their difficulties and do what we can to encourage them.With many thanks
