Still of reasonable interest to tourists. Again probably best as a tourist attraction in the season. Well worth the visit though.
We made our second visit to this magnificent museum last Saturday. We only scratched the surface of the fascinating copious exhibits. Further visits are planned.
Was actually really interesting and kept the kids interested too. They are 3 and 5.The room where you can touch and play with the artefacts is really good. They must have so much they don't mind some things getting ruined.Guides were helpful and welcoming to the children. Did it feel like we needed to be overly careful.
Would not recommend the Museum if you're an animal lover. I know 'back in the day' it was fashionable to show off your trophies in cases, but for me it seems barbaric in this day and age. My 6yr old daughter was very upset and I had to take her out, we did the clay Mask making, which was good, but I was stunned to see in the 'handling area' there are highly illegal handbags made of crocodile skin and other banned skins. Although the rest of the activities are great, I'm surprised this is still considered 'entertainment' or educational!
Great time at the museum, gardens and also the maize maze! Loads to do come rain or shine. Loved the maize and giant air pillows. Loved finding the butterflies throughout the museum. Loved exploring the gardens and seeing the fish. Thank you for another wonderful day out!
