Nice, quaint little camp site. Glancing pods were clean and modern. Would visit again!

Small pleasant straight forward campsite, very close to the seafront. Ideal for families, dogs, cyclists, walkers. Shower, vending machine, kettle, games to borrow. Would definitely return.

An absolute gem of a site. Small, quiet, situated at the end of a long, private lane and away from the crowds; yet only yards (on foot) from the beachfront and promenade to the rear of the site. My teenaged son and I (plus our 2 small terriers) wanted a short camping break along the north Kent coast, and we know Minnis Bay well so thought Hawk Place might be a nice place to try. We were so pleased with our decision! The online booking process was seamless via the eastkentcamping.co.uk website, the price was extremely reasonable, and I received a return acknowledgement by email that included instructions on what to do when we arrived there. The site honestly describes itself as basic but it had everything we needed: 5 loos/washrooms (2 with showers), standpipes for water, a fridge and vending machine in the Reception hut. We had the bonus of beautiful, warm weather throughout our 2 days and loved sitting out next to our tent, enjoying a picnic and reading our books; or watching as Swifts flew right over our heads on their hunt to catch insects; and of course walking our dogs at the beach. Time really slowed down for us during our stay - but in a good way, we relaxed completely and were very sorry to be going home again. My only regret is that I did not make enquiries about booking some horse riding for my son when I was booking our break; unfortunately, we failed on each attempt to catch anybody to ask about this at Reception (probably bad timings on our part), and although a mobile contact number in case of enquiries/problems was displayed at various points around the site, we had decided to go 'technology-free' for our camping trip so I didn't have my own mobile with me. This is something I will remedy the next time we book, because there definitely will be a next time. We would recommend this site without hesitation.

Great spot, near beach and village with restaurants, shops etc. Facilities could do with updating.

OK - this place is next to an Equestrian centre and is maybe where the priority lies. Its close to the sea, only 2 mins walk, pleasant stroll to Birchington on sea. Only 1 shower but I was lucky and didn't have to wait too long, facilities updated with some portaloos. Next to railway line but this didn't bother me, you kinda get used to it. Owrner is friendly, try it out and see what you think.
